Mercer Island Home Project

We had done a railing system on the front deck of this home in 2008, and the clients were working with a landscape design company to build a new stairwell on the side of their house to the front porch. They ended up adding another stair on the opposite side of the house, and a stair and upper landing area in the back yard. This ended up being a combination of picket rail on the front stairs, pipe handrail on the side stairs and back yard stairs, and cable rail on the upper area of the back yard.

It was important to all of us for the back yard in particular to have the railings leave as little impact as possible on the beauty of the landscaping, so we used cable rail to keep the look modern and minimalist.
